G.R. (Bob) Crowl Family cousins and second cousins January 8, 2016
Please accept our condolences to our cousin's family.  We had a pleasant and informative visit with Ernie a few years ago when we came from California for a visit.
We did enjoy seeing the submariner memorial and the other memorials he was such a part of for the Peoria community. Rest in peace, Ernie, you served your country well.  We will miss him.
Michael Brooks VAC Superintendent January 8, 2016
The VAC sends our condolences to Rise and the Crowl family for their loss.  Ernie was an amazing Chairman and Friend to us here at the VAC.  He spent over 10 years as VAC Chairman and helped shape the VAC to what it is today.
Ernie's leadership and smile will be missed here every single day!
We have an Angel watching over us at the Veterans Assistance Commission, Ernie be at peace in Heaven.
Hal Fritz Fellow Veteran and Friend January 8, 2016
My sincere condolences to the Crowl family for the loss of a loved one. Ernie was an inspiration to all those that had the opportunity to meet and know him.  Ernie was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need and he had a fondness in helping fellow Veterans. Ernie was proud of his Navy service and continued to serve his community as a very proactive member of the Peoria County Commission.  He also served on the Peoria County Veterans Memorial Committee and provided valuable insight toward the memorial effort for the WWi & WWII memorial in addition to the "Last Patrol" memorial a work in progress.  Ernie will be missed by all. May he rest in eternal peace amongst his fellow Veterans in a place reserved for ALL men and women that have served this great nation.
